Costa del Sol Tourism and Malaga Convention Bureau organize a fam trip to present the potential of the city in tourism for congresses, meetings and conventions. The city of Malaga has been the framework this past Thursday, September 16, of a fam trip organized by the Malaga Convention Bureau and Tourism and Planning Costa del Sol , in which around a dozen receptive agencies in the province have participated , all of them specialized in MICE tourism and that they fully serve international clients. The gradual return to normality after the most critical period of the COVID-19 pandemic has allowed the return of this type of face-to-face promotion actions, which, in addition to publicizing the destination's offer for specific segments, also serve to establish contacts between tourism actors in order to draw common strategies and synergies with public institutions. This fam trip has focused on showing some of the multiple possibilities that the city offers for the tourism sector of congresses, meetings and conventions. In this context, in terms of accommodation and framework of celebrations, the receptive agencies were able to discover hotel establishments that have recently opened or are in the process of opening, such as the Only You Hotel, the La Equitativa building, the Soho Castillo de Santa Catalina or the Hotel Solecio Palace. Participating suppliers were able to learn about a range of proposals for the capital, with visits to the Limonar Palace and the El Pinar Equestrian Club, which hosted a team building organized by Teambuilding Málaga, or routes through the city, being able to contemplate the city from new observation points , by land by the hand of Eco Tuk Tuk, or from the bay by the hand of Sail & Fun. As indicated by the CEO of Costa del Sol Tourism, Margarita Del Cid «Familiarization trips are one of the promotional tools most important for Costa del Sol Tourism. Either in collaboration with other administrations such as this case or on their own initiative ?. "In these trips, travel agents know first-hand our unbeatable offer and our tourism products and the potential of our segments so that they can then offer them to our potential clients with much more knowledge", highlighted Margarita Del Cid. The Councilor for Tourism, Promotion of the City and Investment Capture, Rosa Sánchez, has underlined the importance of the gradual return to normality as a consequence of the remission of the COVID-19 crisis. ?This, he affirms, allows us to resume with renewed effort the tourist activity and the celebration of face-to-face promotional actions that had to be suspended due to the pandemic and that are of great interest for our promotion. Fam trips, for example, serve to establish closer meetings and create synergies with professionals in the sector. Last Thursday's fam trip was a happy reunion, sponsored by the City Council together with Costa del Sol Tourism, with whom we share goals in so many aspects ?. The program has also had a solidarity aspect. The results of the cooking workshop organized by Cooking Málaga and Dejando Tu Huella had eighty users as beneficiaries of the soup kitchen run by Amfremar, in the El Palo neighborhood.
