A Ukrainian neighbor drowned on a beach in Torrox

The tragedy hit a family of Ukrainians living in Torrox for several years this Holy Tuesday. A 43-year-old man of this nationality died this afternoon after being rescued from the sea on the Sillón beach, located in the vicinity of the Lighthouse, as reported by the Emergency 112 Andalusia service, attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Administration Public and Interior of the Board. A call to the Emergency Telephone 112 alerted, minutes before seven in the afternoon, of a man who had been rescued from the water by a friend on the aforementioned beach.

From the coordinating center, the Civil Guard, Local Police, the Public Health Emergencies Company (EPES) and the Civil Protection of Torrox were immediately activated, and they traveled to the scene of the events. Despite attempts by the operatives to resuscitate, nothing could be done to save the life of the man, who died on the beach without being transferred to a hospital. There were moments of great anguish and pain in the area. The group of friends and family was on the beach eating and drinking. At the moment, the circumstances in which the event occurred are unknown.
