Gonzalo Armenteros from Malaga is convinced of the potential of the city of Malaga and the power of tourism. A mix with which he proposed to create the first hotel chain in the capital of the Costa del Sol, Soho Boutique Hotels. The dream took shape with a first hotel in Córdoba street, the seed of a group that is now the leader in the city for being the one that manages the largest volume of hotel beds in Malaga, with a dozen hotels and some 1,100 beds, and which has been considered a strategic chain in urban tourism. Currently, after being rescued by Sepi in December 2021, it maintains 34 hotels in Spain and is advancing on an expansion plan that includes new openings next year.

In the capital of the Costa del Sol, this Malaga chain has the hotel that is the jewel in the crown, the four-star hotel with 72 rooms that gives life to the La Equitativa tower, and the only five-star hotel in the group, the Castillo de Saint Catherine.
