Nerja, March 10, 2022.-
The first deputy mayor, Francisco Arce, and the Councilor for Tourism, Gema García, have received students from the higher level training cycle of Guide and Tourist Assistance of the IES María Zambrano de Torre del Mar who have visited the Nerja Tourist Office , along with other establishments in the municipality, all with the aim of completing their training, which will enable them to work in the tourism sector.
They have been able to see first-hand the work of promoting tourism in the municipality that is carried out by the Department of Tourism of the City Council. In this sense, they have been informed of the services offered by the office and the functions it performs, highlighting the importance of the same, both for the tourist who visits the dependencies during their vacation stay, and for the potential tourist, who receives information through digital means or by telephone.
The students have been interested in the different nationalities that visit Nerja annually, highlighting the British, French, Dutch, and Nordic countries, and have wanted to know how the tourism sector has evolved after the start of the coronavirus pandemic and what the actions have been carried out by the City Council to deal with the changes that have occurred.
