The mayor of Rincón de la Victoria, Francisco Salado (PP), together with the mayor of the area, Antonio José Martín (PP), and president of the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Rincón de la Victoria (ACERV), José Antonio Villodres, have presented the great novelty of this year that supposes "taking the first step towards the digitization of the Ruta de la Tapa", as explained by the councilor.

It is a digital restaurant guide linked to Google Maps in which all participating restaurants, tapas and prices appear, as well as the location of the participating establishment once the user presses the 'How to get here' button. Likewise, printed 'caps' will continue to be made for people who do not use smart mobile devices.

?We are talking about gastronomy, tourism and digitization as one more option to facilitate the route for those who come from abroad and use their devices to get to restaurants,? adds Salado, while stressing that ?the purpose of the event is to promote heritage gastronomy of the municipality and support the hospitality work of our municipality ». In addition, as the Councilor for Tourism has advanced, "the next objective is that visits to restaurants can be sealed from the mobile phone itself." Martín has pointed out that we celebrate the route for another year «with the aim of activating pre-Christmas consumption to enhance the wide and varied gastronomic offer that we have, which has already become one more tourist attraction for the municipality» , he points out.

In this sense, the president of the ACERV has indicated that with the Ruta de la Tapa "the aim is to reinforce the gastronomic offer of Rincón de la Victoria in a season prior to Christmas to generate movement and increase customer attendance". This year a total of 30 restaurants belonging to the municipality participate in the Ruta de la Tapa. The Rincón de la Victoria Tapas Route will have the first digital guide of the 30 participating restaurants.

Prices

Each restaurant participating in the contest will offer a tapa with prices between 1.8 and 3 euros, including beer, soft drinks or water. There will be prizes worth almost 3,000 euros (1,000, 700 and 500 euros), in addition to the public prize of 500 euros). All prizes will be accompanied by a trophy. «A professional jury will be in charge of anonymously evaluating the 30 tapas submitted to the competition. They are all professionals in the hotel industry and gastronomic communication with recognized prestige in the province of Malaga?, pointed out the Councilor for Tourism.

Likewise, five prizes of 200 euros will be raffled to visitors. The user must seal all the 'tapaporte' boxes in the different restaurants and vote for their favorite tapa until next November 22nd. For the 'tapaporte' to be valid, it is mandatory to visit restaurants that are in two different population centers of the municipality with the aim of promoting the mobility and rotation of visitors.

The participating restaurants are: Alma Beach, Avante Clear, Blessed Catherine, Good Morning, Coffee Bar Gala, Cafe Manila, Casa Eduardo, Chambao de Maria, Two Brothers, El Camino, El Deo, El Higueron, El Gate, Gastrobar Cuban Palate, Retirement Home Corner of Victory, Jul, La Chalaura, La Finca Restaurant, La Marina, La Ola, La Penultima, La Terracita, La Vaca Lola, LaCaliza, Las Brasas de Raúl, Las Flores, High School Playa, restaurant El Invernadero, Sabor a Field, and tavern frying seafood La Victoria.
