She may be unknown to the general public, but for years she has been very present in our lives. Her name, Nikki Garcia, said very little, but her voice was familiar to many people. Dubbing actress and singer, she is famous for being the one in charge of giving voice to the GPS instructions of Google Maps and that has catapulted her into advertising campaigns, so much so that she became the face (also the voice) of 'If I get lost, now you know where to find me', the new promotional campaign of Turismo Costa del Sol.
This young woman, from Madrid, is more than the soul behind the GPS of half the country. Nikki García is a singer, dubbing actress and presenter. It has become, among others, the official voice in Spanish for Simyo, for RENFE Cercanías in Madrid, for NH Hoteles in English and also for Iberia's in-flight entertainment in both languages.
But Nikki García can also be considered an 'influencer' (82.1k followers on Twitter and 105k on Instagram, among others). Specifically, on Twitter it was made known to the general public by a viral video at the beginning of last year. With two other professional colleagues, sitting in the back seat of a car, she was giving out the instructions to get to the destination, to the laughter of Juan and Ana de Castro, who accompanied her.

But it was at the end of 2022, when his last viral hit was brewing. During the VOlé congress, which brings together announcers, dubbers and speakers, Nikki García was godmother of the gala together with Susana Ballesteros, a Madrid resident living in Los Angeles, who provides the voice in neutral Spanish for the Google assistant for Latin America. As soon as they saw each other, it occurred to them to record a video in which they seemed to argue. Obviously, they flooded the networks.
In #VOLé2021@nikkigarcia_es and @SucoVoiceOvers, two of our speakers and voices of the most famous GPS in the world, had this fun conversation, and Nikki García and @Ira_Siri, this fun meeting. But long before being the voice of the most widely used GPS, Nikki García had already worked as a dubbing actress in Disney movies and series, among others. He participated as 'Mary Poppins Returns' and the live-action film of 'Aladdin'. But, as he gives for everything, he also has two albums on the market, 'We've got something' and 'Timescape'.
Now comes this 'If I get lost, you know where to find me', the advertising campaign of Turismo Costa del Sol, where Nikki García could well have put the soundtrack, but leaves this place to Beatriz Luengo and Yotuel Romero, with their song 'Recalculando ', which came like a glove to the campaign. «Maybe we should recalculate a little less to lose a little more. If I get lost, you know where I am: on the Costa del Sol ». Nikki García, for now, is here.
